Free hand-drawn D&D/TTRPG dungeon map download. This spiral cavern, accessible via Echodeep Level 1, holds the makeshift Dwarven Tent City nestled in a grove of giant glowing mushrooms.

This dungeon map was drawn with Micron pens on an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of graph paper—classic. At the bottom of the cavern is an underground sea to the North and an abandoned Dwarven stronghold to the West—Ironhold.

Echo Cavern

After a few hundred steps down a narrow stone passageway you see a faint glow just beyond your torchlight. The stairs end at a rough cavern landing which opens up into a colossal underground cavern—easily a thousand feet deep. The exposed edge spirals clockwise, around the center of the open cavern which meanders to the bottom where soft pulsing light faintly illuminates the entire cavern.

A gate wall, flanked with towers, and guarded by Dwarves bars entry to Tent City. The twang of a crossbow echoes as a bolt clatters on the stone in front of you. “Not another step! What business do five rag-tag surface-walkers have in Tent City?!”

Tent City

A richly populated Dwarven tent city sits at the bottom of Echo Cavern, nestled amongst giant glowing mushrooms. Just beyond the makeshift city to the West sits a massive Dwarven Stronghold [ Ironhold ], its cathedral ceiling standing against the vast emptiness of the spiral cavern above. Waves of an underground sea to the North lap gently against its walls.

The Dwarves inhabiting this city fled their home, the stronghold dominating the view to the West, ninety nine years ago when the world shattered and a Red Dragon named Brimstone moved into Ironhold—seeking sanctuary from the chaos of the surface above. The Dwarves fled and set up shop in the mushroom forest on the doorstep of their former home. They have been trying to take back Ironhold ever since.
