Free Hand-Drawn D&D & TTRPG Maps
Free hand-drawn maps for your TTRPG: D&D, Shadowdark, Dungeon Crawl Classics, and more. Please feel free to download and use these maps for your home games!
I've included high-resolution copies (typically 240 dpi) in both JPG and WebP formats, often with optional gridded versions, for easy integration into your VTT of choice.
I've loved drawing maps since childhood. I used to draw side-scroll games and overhead castles and military bases. When I started playing D&D in 1997 this love translated instantly. I've drawn hundreds of maps, most of which have been lost to time (and the recycling bin).
For the current campaign I'm running (in which we are playtesting my homebrew system Broken Sorcery) I've taken time and care to curate a network of interlocking macro and micro maps (as I explain how to do in the D&D World Map Guide). I've also been filming timelapses of each which you can check out on my YouTube.

This universe is actively being explored by my players. The hex crawl of the Material Plane will slowly be randomized and filled in as each hex is discovered. I've seeded the hex map with a few key locations:
- Stonebrook: The quintessential fantasy town adventure hub, beneath it lies Echodeep, an ancient Dwarven underground ruin
- Eagle Canyon: A canyon where sinister cultists lurk in Eagle Canyon Cavern, accessible via a cave hidden behind a waterfall
- Romolt: The ruins of an ancient civilization
- Skycrest: A fortified keep nestled in the caldera of an ancient volcano, accessible only by crossing a mountain lake
Check back for new battle maps, unique locations, and dungeon crawl maps as they are added to the campaign.
